Beer Alps Festival Innsbruck
Something is brewing in Innsbruck this year: the third Beer Alps Festival will take place in October.
Hold my beer! What exactly is happening?
Be there when the regional and independent brewing scene meets in the heart of the Alps – against the spectacular backdrop of the Nordkette mountain range on Innsbruck’s market square. Celebrate the diverse and vibrant brewing culture in the Alpine region with us and take the opportunity to sample various craft beers.
Enjoy really good, fresh beer, exchange ideas with other beer lovers or talk shop about the fine art of brewing.
From fruity IPAs and strong stouts to classic lagers, you can look forward to a delicious selection and perhaps even discover your next favourite brewery – and chat directly with the brewers on site about the story behind the beers.
If your stomach is rumbling, you can of course also stock up on regional delicacies at the festival that perfectly complement your beer enjoyment.

Green Event
The festival is organised in accordance with the Green Event Tirol criteria. Together with our partners, breweries and you, our guests, we are committed to consistent sustainability at the Beer Alps Festival.
Here is a selection of the measures we are implementing on site:
-
Consistent waste sorting
Clearly marked recycling points are available throughout the festival site on the Marktplatz. Please help us to sort glass, tins, paper and general waste properly so that everything can be recycled.
-
A reusable glass system instead of disposable cups
You’ll use your festival glass throughout the event. Thanks to the deposit system, not a single glass ends up in the bin, and you can even take it home with you at the end as a sustainable souvenir.
-
Regional & seasonal in the Food Corner
We work closely with local suppliers and producers. In our dishes, we prioritise regional ingredients that are organic or Fairtrade – and we offer a range of vegetarian and vegan options.
-
Short journeys, small carbon footprints
We work specifically with breweries and partners from the Alpine region. This means shorter transport routes, support for the regional economy and lower CO₂ emissions from our logistics operations.
-
Digital First
To save paper, we avoid unnecessary printed materials and promotional items. You can find all the information and plans online on our website. Where printing is absolutely essential, we use recycled paper and sustainable printing inks.
-
Climate-friendly travel
We actively encourage people to travel by public transport, by bike or on foot, and provide information on the best routes to the market square.
Getting here
Our request for a clean festival: please travel in an environmentally friendly way!
-
By public transport
Take IVB bus routes H, K, M, A, O, 501, 502, 503 or 504, or tram routes 1, 2 and 5, directly to the ‘Innsbruck Marktplatz’ stop.
-
On foot
The market square is right in the city centre. From Innsbruck Central Station, it’s a leisurely 12 to 15-minute walk along Maria-Theresien-Straße to us. From the Congress Centre/Old Town, it’s just a 3-minute walk.
-
By bike
There are plenty of cycle parking spaces available right on and around the market square. If you don’t have your own bike, the ‘Marktplatz’ city bike station is located right next to the venue.

On-site accessibility
It is important to us that everyone is able to take part in our event. The event site at Innsbruck’s Marktplatz is accessible to all:
-
Site
The market square is at ground level, has a flat paved surface and is accessible without steps.
-
Getting here
The IVB buses and trams that stop at the ‘Marktplatz’ stop are low-floor vehicles with ramps.
-
Toilets
The nearest public, accessible and wheelchair-friendly toilet facilities are located right next door in the Innsbruck Market Hall and the adjoining Marktbar.
Do you have any specific questions or need on-site support? Simply get in touch with us in advance at info@beeralps.com – we’ll be happy to help!
Beer Alps Competition
This year, the Beer Alps Competition, an exciting brewing competition for hobby brewers and commercial breweries, will also take place for the third time.
For the participating master brewers, it is an opportunity to demonstrate their brewing skills and present their best beer to an international beer jury. Be there live at the award ceremony and join in when the best beer in the Alpine region is chosen!
Would you like to give your beer or brewery a stage and compete with other master brewers? Then register for the competition and impress an international panel of experts with your finest drop.
